Cersaie: A Celebration of Creativity, Color + Italian Craftsmanship

Written by Decorative Materials | Nov 6, 2026, 4:32:16 PM

The breadth and diversity of products at Cersaie were truly remarkable. From elevated porcelains and intricately carved stone to hand-painted ceramics and expressive terracotta, the innovation and artistry on display continued to impress at every turn.

It was an exceptional expo, beautifully attended and filled with remarkable companies, all set against the unmistakable spirit of Italy. Espresso and Aperol spritz flowed freely, wood-fired pizzas filled the air with their irresistible aroma, and the Italian lifestyle was woven into every corner of the show.

Tile Trends from Cersaie 2026

The trends were bolder, more colorful, and more creative than we anticipated. Color and texture were everywhere, with terracotta making a particularly compelling statement in its many forms, from raw, natural finishes to hand-painted designs and intricate mosaics.

Printed tile was another standout, artfully blurring the boundaries between tile and wallpaper. Many designs embraced a chinoiserie influence, bringing a sense of decorative sophistication and unexpected artistry to the surface.

Standout Collections & Exciting Discoveries

Petra Antiqua stopped us in our tracks. Their new Déco, Domino, and Vajolet carved stone collections were nothing short of stunning. Samples are already on their way, and we cannot wait to introduce these exceptional materials to the Rocky Mountain region.

Another vendor delivered an unforgettable moment with a vibrant, colorful presentation in a hidden room. The patterns were bold, the colors dynamic, and the overall effect incredibly inspiring. We are excited to bring these expressive materials into our showrooms and share them with our design community.

Beyond Cersaie: Experiencing Italian Craftsmanship

Beyond the expo, our time in Italy was equally memorable. Verona was a highlight, with wonderful lunches and dinners alongside our incredible vendor partners, all complemented by the beauty of the city and its fabulous shopping.

Ravenna was equally captivating. We were graciously hosted by a factory and given a private, behind-the-scenes tour exploring the city’s remarkable mosaic heritage. It was an experience that felt both intimate and magical, a beautiful reminder of the artistry, history, and craftsmanship that make Italian design so extraordinary.

An Unforgettable Evening at Florim

No recap would be complete without mentioning the spectacular evening celebration at the Florim factory in Modena. We were welcomed with a private tour of their impressive 100,000-square-foot showroom, where we selected beautiful new products for our inventory program.

The evening continued with an exquisite Italian dinner and wonderfully attentive hospitality, including a dedicated host ensuring every detail was just right. It was a fitting celebration of design, partnership, and the very best of Italian hospitality.

Bringing Inspiration Home

If we had to describe Cersaie in three words, they would be inspiring, colorful, and innovative.

One of the most exciting aspects of Cersaie is the opportunity to discover extraordinary products that have yet to make their way into our market. More than 35 years ago, Margot’s vision was to introduce distinctive, unexpected materials to Colorado, products that would inspire designers and set our showrooms apart. We are proud to carry that vision forward, continually seeking out the unusual, the exceptional, and the truly original. We cannot wait to share these discoveries with our clients.

We return energized by the creativity we encountered, inspired by the relationships we strengthened, and excited to bring something truly special back to the Rocky Mountain design community. The best part of Cersaie is not simply discovering what is new, but discovering what is next and bringing it home.
